Description
This chanter is great for solo players seeking a warm tonality. It has a very rich and harmonic sound with projection and stability. It is easy to reed, with the ability to achieve a stable piobaireachd high G. The chanter can achieve pitches ranging from 478-482. It is very comfortable to play, with sensible hole sizes and placement.
Jonathon Simpson –
I first laid my hands on this chanter in June this year, and I haven’t wanted to play anything else since. It is well balanced, bright and resonant throughout the scale with each reed manufacturer I have tried (Castle Bagpipes being my particular favourite) and it has elicited positive comments from judges and fellow competitors this summer. I also found it very comfortable for my hands – it has more girth to the top hand especially I feel. I can’t wait to get back out in more solo competitions next year. My solo bagpipe has never been better.
